Main purpose of the Role:
*Manage cases relating to incidents or change requests from Partners to meet the SLA commitments
*Provide 3rd line cloud support for incidents and change requests
*Manage larger project delivery and solutions within change requests
*Take internal escalations from the rest of the Service Desk as required
Core Tasks
*To monitor and triage cloud incidents and cloud cases for Partners as required
*Manage case queues within the Salesforce CRM for incidents, change and service requests
*Engage with Partners when, logging, progressing or updating cases as appropriate via telephone, email and Salesforce
*Maintain and support the cloud platform to ensure up-time and partner satisfaction
Essential Criteria
*Excellent working knowledge of VMware technologies
*Ability to conclude whether a problem likely lies in the infrastructure or the application
*Good communication skills, both written and verbal are essential
*Strong technical support background (minimum 12 months) gained supporting at least one Public Cloud (Azure, AWS, OpenStack)
*Experience of working with hypervisors e.g. vSphere, KVM, XEN, Amazon AWS
*Demonstrable experience with vSphere, and administration of Virtual Machines
*Strong knowledge in virtualisation technologies and troubleshooting virtual environments
*Experience with working with and understanding Sever performance metrics
*Strong Windows Operating System knowledge
