I am recruiting for a leading Insurance Syndicate in the heart of the city who are looking for a Business Systems Support Analyst to join their team of 3.
*To carry out day to day administration and incident management across all internally developed and externally provided business systems
*To identify, report and mitigate risks relating to production business applications across their application portfolio
*Co-ordinate and liaise with third party vendors and support teams in the provision of SDLC support to production systems, non-production systems and data links between instances or environments
*To implement and/or manage routine maintenance tasks associated to applications, batch processing and back end databases
*Administration for market provided services such as ECF2, IMR, DASATS, etc….
*Provide comprehensive documentation of application environments, data flow, and support procedures.
*Provide in-house specialism on core business applications with regards to essential training and testing purposes.
*Provide ancillary deskside support in respect to the internal IT function and outsourced IT infrastructure services
Strong customer service ethic and proactive support culture
Good experience of core Managing Agency applications such as Policy Administration Systems, Bordereaux management, Actuarial modelling, Exposure Management systems, Claims and Finance
Good experience of Microsoft SQL database management systems
Good experience of web server technologies such as IIS
Good experience and hands on knowledge of configuring, supporting and deploying vendor applications and releases
Experience administering London Market application portfolio
Experience with SDLC process and support related procedures
Experience in supporting deskside systems and base infrastructure
Working knowledge of Windows desktop and server environments
Ability to work independently and as a part of a small team
Working knowledge of macros and development/programming languages such as, C#, VB, .net
Working experience in designing and implementing controls suited to a regulated and audited environment
Understanding of SharePoint management, workflows and administration.
Understanding of basic Insurance principles, processes and terminology
Understanding Networking, LAN/WAN and Wireless networks
Understanding of Citrix environments, XenApp and App V
Working experience of industry best practices such as ITIL Processes and procedures
