1st Line NOC Support Engineer
Up to £28,000 Benefits

The JM Group are working with a rapidly growing Telecommunications company in the City and are looking for a 1st line NOC Support Engineer to join their service desk. This role would suit a 1st Line Support, Service Desk or Technical Customer Service candidate looking to progress their career in networking.

The Role

This 1st line NOC Support Engineer role will involve taking calls, managing queues for cases, requests for information and data centre access. It would suit someone with a minimum of 1 years experience in a similar role in IT or Telecommunications that's able to demonstrate an understanding of fault finding in networking and wants to to build on their career within this area.

Key Responsibilities:

*Acting at the 1st point of contact, troubleshooting and monitoring network faults, escalating to 2nd and 3rd line when needed
*Change, faults or requests cases
*Assign any faults to carriers and suppliers, ensuring these are followed up and acted upon
*Providing the best level of practice in support and monitoring
*Making sure that all open tickets are kept to a minimum

The Requirements

As a 1st Line NOC Support Engineer you will have the following experience:

*Strong soft skills, communication and customer care
*At least 1 years experience in a similar role within Telecommunications and/or IT
*An understanding of fault finding in networking (Traceroute, PING, ARP , MAC)
*Passionate about networking and delivering a good customer service
*Ideally studying or has CompTIA networking, CCNA or similar
