2nd Line Support Engineer (NOC)
We are recruiting for an established yet growing Telecommunications company who are looking for a 2nd Line Support Engineer to join their NOC on an initial 4 month contract. Technology wise, the company work predominantly with Juniper so any experience with this is beneficial however candidates with good Cisco, a CCNA and a strong background in Telecommunications will be considered therefore please still apply.
Please note, this role is shift based, 1st week is between 9am-5.30pm then 2nd week is 2pm-10.30pm, this will then rotate
As a 2nd Line Support Engineer you will be involved in the following duties:
*Monitoring and troubleshooting network faults
*Acting as an escalation point for 1st line engineers
*Managing changes, faults or requests
*Using Salesforce to manage case queues
*Dealing with carriers and suppliers for any faults
*Supporting partners with network services
As a 2nd Line Support Engineer you will have a background in Telecommunications in a similar role working with WAN technologies. You will ideally have experience with Juniper however candidates with a Telecoms background in Cisco and hold a CCNA will also be considered. Ideally you will be have strong troubleshooting skills with experience in OSPF, MPLS and BGP being desirable.
You will be good at building relationships and passionate about delivering excellent customer service. You will ideally hold certifications in either Cisco or Juniper such as CCNA or JNCIA and be working towards JNCIS-SP or CCNP.
