Systems Administrator (Windows)
£50,000 - £55,000 Benefits including pension, healthcare, 24 days holiday bank holidays and more

The Role
As a Systems Administrator working for a leading IT services provider, you will be responsible for supporting internal colleagues as well as multiple external clients. The company provide a managed service to a variety of customers focusing on Windows platforms and this person will be responsible for dealing with problems around server operating systems, application and hardware.

Acting as the final point of escalation, this Systems Administrator role will be responsible for:

*Support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of the operating systems and applications
*System Administrator subject matter expert
*Looking at ways to improve customer technical services
*Develop new system and application implementation plans, customer scripts and testing procedures
*Ensuring that issues are fixed within SLA's and OLA's
*Manage and own 3rd line tickets
*Getting involved in provisioning and project work when needed
*Supporting and mentor junior members of the team

The Requirements

As a Systems Administrator you will have the following experience:

*IT, Computer Science or HND/BTEC qualifications
*Any Microsoft certifications are preferred however not essential (MCSA, MCSE, MCP, Server or Cloud based)
*Previous experience in a similar role supporting Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Web platform support and Networking
*Experience supporting in a large/shared infrastructure environment (ideally cloud hosting)
*Confident troubleshooting enterprise hardware, storage systems
*Windows hosting knowledge - Active Directory, IIS, MS Exchange, MS SQL, Skype/Lync
*Microsoft SQL server and Microsoft Exchange

*Supporting over 500 users
*HyperVisor (VMWare Vsphere)
*HP Server/Blade
*Networking - firewalls, routing, switching
*Citrix XenApp
*Understanding of Cloud (private/public)
