2 x Business Analysts - London - £560pd 6 months

I am working with a Global Asset Manager looking to start a major project from new. The role requires someone with real BA skills and ability to adapt and deliver requirements to high strategic levels which are critical to the business needs

This role will be focused on a specific Data Consolidation project which aims to consolidate two existing solutions for mastering product standing data into a single target state solution. The Business Analyst will discover, analyse and document requirements, design and test the new maintenance application as well as work on database enhancements, data migration and interfaces as required

Duties and Responsibilities

*Works with Project Manager, Product Owner and the Business Analyst to understand the priority of project work
*Conducts requirements gathering, analysis and review using workshops, 121 interviews, working groups and 'best practice' analysis techniques producing Jira stories with supporting process models, data models etc
*Captures non-functional requirements e.g. usability, performance, support-ability
*Captures functional requirements and designs in Jira with supporting logical models, screen designs, interface specifications etc
*Demonstrates the developed functionality to business users
*Specifies test plans with detailed test scenarios, executes the tests and tracks success or failure working with the delivery team to get fixes applied and retested
*Supports and coordinates acceptance testing by business stakeholders
*Prepares support documentation (e.g. business/system process flows, user guides) and walks the BAU support team through the changes being implemented by the project
*Support other projects and BAU teams testing and using Product Master interfaces
*Train business users in the new application and how to utilise HEDS
*Support transition of the project releases into production


Technical Skills and Qualifications
*Proven business analysis experience within an Asset Manager and strong understanding of the industry
*Experience in Master Data Management and data migration projects is desirable
*Workshop and Working Group facilitation
*Business analysis skills with professional qualification e.g. BCS or PMI desirable
*Functional design skills
*Test scenario preparation
*Experience with JIRA or other similar tool
*Microsoft Office tool-set including Visio
*Ability to interrogate databases through SQL and manipulate datasets to support analysis
*Experience in various project delivery methodologies (agile / scrum and waterfall)
*5 years experience in business and systems analysis
*2 years experience working in an agile development environment
