12 Month BA Contract-IT/Business Change
London Based Asset management business with over 400 employees, running numerous change projects across all areas of the firm, including vendor implementations, regulatory change, in-house development, as well as overseeing change delivery from third party suppliers.

Overview of the Role

This role will be focused on the delivery of client facing technologies for our global business. The overall goal is to plan, initiate, and manage change and technology projects with focus on client facing technologies; to serve as a liaison between business and technical aspects of projects; to plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage; to monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards and cost targets are met.


Duties and Responsibilities

*Supporting business stakeholders and internal business analysis in the delivery of technology and process change
*Negotiate with project stakeholders and/or suppliers to obtain resources to meet requirements
*Establish and execute a project communication plan
*Coordinate recruitment or selection of project personnel
*Prepare project status reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information and trends
*Initiate, review and obtain approve modifications to project plans
*Schedule and facilitate meetings for Steering Committees, Working Groups as necessary; facilitate discussion on decision making and conflict resolution
*Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule and scope
*Direct or coordinate activities of project personnel



Technical Skills and Qualifications

*Must be able to communicate well with teams
*Must be able to lead and demonstrate value-add principals to a team
*Must be able to ensure project management concepts and principles are adhered to, the be voice of reason, make the tough calls when necessary
*Must be able to notice difference/issues and elevate to management as necessary
*Self-starter - high energy
*Must be able to facilitate discussion and guide toward alternatives or different approaches
*Competencies Required

*Experience working in a task-oriented environment
*Understand basic fundamentals of software development
*Familiarity of project management principles and methodologies
*Strong interpersonal skills, with all levels of management, staff, outside vendors, contractors, and consultants
*Knowledge of the Financial Services arena
