A leading Asset Management Business
6 month contract

The IT & Change department has around 70 employees, running numerous change projects across all areas of the firm, including vendor implementations, regulatory change, in-house development, as well as overseeing change delivery from third party suppliers.

The Role
This role will be focused on delivery of client facing websites for our global business and is responsible for the creation of business system requirements for new websites and systems or enhancements to existing systems, and integration with other enterprise technologies in coordination with business users, management, other IT resources and/or vendors. Works closely with business partners to identify and analyse practical solutions using technology. Typically works on projects of large scope that may involve multiple departments or have company wide impact.


Duties and Responsibilities
*Perform research and interviews to determine IT business requirements and then translate into specifications for technical projects
*Collaborates with development, associated technology and QA teams to clarify requirements.
*Analyses system capabilities, work-flows, and functional limitations.
*Detailed technical documentation with understanding of appropriate requirements form factor based on communication and audience needs.
*Ensures all project requirements are conformed to during every phase of the project implementation.
*Provides status updates on the progress of completed requirements throughout the
project life-cycle. Executes functional tests on completed requirements.
*Participates in sprint and project planning sessions as a technical resource
*Assist in business Change Management activities
*Provide technical assistance to several other analysts in planning, analysis and execution of plans
*Reconcile conflicts, elicit requirements and distinguish solution ideas from business needs to package business stories for technical implementation

Technical Skills and Qualifications
*Experience using or defining requirements for content management systems, publishing or content production processes
*Experience documenting system integration and data transformations
*Practical knowledge of SQL for data definition, data mapping and requirements discovery
*Two years experience working in an agile development environment
*Technical proficiency of relevant concepts (e.g WordPress and Enterprise Web CMS, client-server, relational databases, and web-based architectures, HTML / CSS / JS, server-side programming, web services, cloud hosting)
*Strong communication skills, including prioritising, problem solving and interpersonal relationship building
*Hands on knowledge of WordPress as a content manager, developer or analyst
*Proven time management and organisation skills (must be able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines)

Competencies Required
*Experience working in a task-oriented environment.
*Knowledge in analysis of computer applications, especially related to website development and system integration concepts such as feed ingestion, databases and system integration.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating the
ability to communicate information technology concepts to non-technology
personnel.
*Previous experience as a web developer a plus
