IT Project Manager - Retail - Up to £55k base - Prince 2, PMP
My client is one of UK's leading Retail Software providers in the world. They have an exciting opportunity for an IT Project Manager to join their team
Key Responsibilities - Client Management
*Day to day single point of contact for the client
*Answer 75% of all questions from the client without needing to refer an to anyone else in the team
*Arrange client meetings
*Attend all client meetings
*Ensure clients rapidly sign off all deliverables and implement robust change control including over plan milestones for external dependencies
Key Responsibilities - Internal Team Management
*Ensure the sales team complete a full handover including full budgetary and scope detail along with any assumptions made
*Work with the product owner to determine what will be delivered as product updates and what is custom delivery
*Work with the technical team, implementation team and product owner(s) to ensure resources are allocated to tasks
*Directly manage the business analyst in the production of requirements documentation and execution of testing
*Ensure internal quality reviews are scheduled and performed for documentation and technical deliverables
Key Responsibilities - PMO
*Review and approve all client facing documentation deliverables. The project manager will be accountable for ensuring well written, high quality deliverables are produced.
*Detailed understanding of functionality of solution being delivered
*Create and maintain the risk and issue log, building contingency plans where necessary
*Create and maintain a detailed project plan
*Proven working experience in project management in the information technology sector.
*Experience of working in the Retail industry as a Project Manager.
*Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software and web technologies
*Will have run concurrent projects varying in size and type.
Key skills required:
*Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Microsoft Project Plan
*Ability to work flexible hours to suit project demands
*PMP / PRINCE II certification
