Job Description

Role summary:
We are currently working with a large global IT services business who are looking for a Lead Network Architect to join a key strategic programme involving the design and implementation of a secure hosting platform.
As a Lead Architect you will be responsible for designing the network required to support the secure hosting platform. You will work closely with project management in the end to end delivery of new services/service uplifts, ensuring that project deadlines are met on time, within budget to a high degree of quality.

Key background/experience required:
An experienced technical leader with a track record of successfully leading teams of technicians to a successful outcome.
High level experience in delivering solutions based upon the following product set (or similar):
* Cisco catalyst switches
* Cisco ASA and Juniper firewalls
* Cisco ISE
* SolarWinds NCM & NPM
* F5 load balancers
* IPSec VPN configuration
Experience of the automation of automating network deployments.
Detailed experience of technology design and implementation policies and practices.
A good understanding and experience of the full development and implementation lifecycle, including Integration, Test and Validation.

The Network lead must have:
* Good verbal communication skills
* The ability to write coherent, concise, and readable technical documentation
* Detailed experience of technology design and implementation policies and practices
* SC clearance, as a minimum.
