Job Description

Reporting to the Technical Services Director, we are searching for a .NET Developer/Analyst to join a global Insurance provider based in Central London. They are searching for an individual to develop and manage their business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities:
*Translating business requirements from users to real technical solutions which deliver the required business outcomes.
*Application support, software installation, upgrades, vendors and applying data fixes, running scripts as required
*Liaising with core vendors to write detailed technical documentation of key applications
*Working alongside key development resource to ensure full support model is in place for key broking applications
*Updating, repairing and modifying/adapting software code to improve technical and user performance of our bespoke broking application
*Assisting with the development of application support and change model and structuring road map for delivery against core applications.
*Adhere to company and regulatory policy and procedures, together with mandatory training requirements
*Adhere to financial reporting requirements including monthly phasing of income

Functional & Behavioural Competencies required:
*Experienced using C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET and SQL Server/Oracle
*Understanding of Financial Services or Insurance would be advantageous
*A knowledge of Salesforce administration would be useful but is not essential
*Commercial Awareness - understanding the business that they are in and being aware of importance of systems to driving revenue generation
*Using Language which is appropriate and easily understood by the target audience, recognising that communication is a two way process, influencing by creating a compelling message which gains buy in from others
*Recognising the importance of the customer to the business - anticipating and identifying customer needs and responding appropriate within a changing environment. Forges partnerships that enable strategic input to future business opportunities
*Understanding the internal and external networks and building lasting relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers
*Communicating change issues in a timely fashion, clearly explaining the impact upon key stakeholders and working to create a shared sense of responsibility and involvement in change activities
