Payroll Specialist - Crawley - £30k-£35k base

My client makes a market leading software in the medical sector which is used in over 6,000 hospitals. This is a company who thrive on innovation and who are dedicate to fighting serious disease

We are currently seeking a talented Payroll Specialist who will report directly to the UK&IHR Director, the job holder will provide a generalist HR service including the following areas:-

*Payroll / Pensions lead for employees in respect of all aspects of compensation & benefits
*To be the first point of contact in resolving payroll discrepancies / issues
*Ensure internal and external compliancy in respect of payroll related activities
*Deliver and support project based activities
*To work with and provide support to the HR UK & Ireland team
Responsibilities
*Manage UK payroll and e-payslip services ensuring compliance with internal/external audit requirements
*Respond in a timely / constructive manner to employee or managerial payroll associated enquiries
*Coordinate the annual bonus scheme and salary review in conjunction with Finance
*Ensure compliance for Pension Auto Enrolment and participate as a member of the Pension Committee
*Work with Finance (including the shared service centre) to ensure monthly / annual compliancy
*To be the lead representative in respect of external payroll compliance (i.e. HMRC, UK Borders Agency)
*Manage the annual renewal of medical and risk benefits
*Ensure compliance with all relevant and amending legislation, and internal policy
*Manage the relationships and delivery of external Service Providers
*To manage the 'My Benefits' portal (including the annual total reward statements)
*Support the relocation process for globally mobile employees (i.e. the coordination of external tax advice)
*Manage the company car process
*To support and contribute the HR Business Plan through the delivery of key projects
*Work with corporate and other stakeholders across the Global HR community
*Support the internal HR processes in respect of new starters, leavers & contractual amendments
*Other duties as reasonably required

Relevant Knowledge, skills and competencies

*Relevant payroll experience
*Experience of administering Payroll, Pensions, Employee Global Mobility, Insured Benefits
*Solid understanding of Compensation and Benefits - including associated legislation
*Strong organisational skills / highly focused to achieve deadlines
*Confident communicator both verbally and written, with the ability to effectively communicate at all audience levels
*A customer focused attitude with a can do delivery approach to resolving issues and providing pragmatic solutions
*Experience of delivering projects (this is desirable, but a willingness to deliver projects will be essential)
