Technical Team Lead - Networks and Unified Communications

Location - Hatfield
Salary - £65,000 Package

A large market leading infrastructures services organisation is looking for a Technical Team lead in Networks and Unified Communications to be one of three in the network support team. Ideal candidates will be adept at solving systems and network integration issues, working closely with 2nd/3rd line infrastructure support, suppliers and the application teams.

Key Responsibilities:

*Maintain production network and firewall infrastructure to ensure high availability by ensuring that proactive tasks such as monitoring and maintenance are performed on a regular basis
*Manage the technical support team on day to day basis, task allocation, resource planning and monitoring staff work to expected level. Ensure that calls escalation from other IT support teams are handled in a professional manner, such as ensuring end users are kept up to date on the progress of the call and the call is completed in a prompt and efficient manner
*Provide 3rd line support for the IP network, firewall, proxy server, WiFi, WAN, LAN, VLAN, virtualized data centers, remote access solutions and Citrix thin client environments
*Work closely with the suppliers and systems integration partners to manage escalations and problem resolution, specifically with the application support team.

Key skills and qualifications:

*Educated to degree level or equivalent in computing related subject.
*A very strong technical background with industry recognised current qualifications in at least two of the three core technologies; Cisco, CheckPoint or AWS Network related
*A detailed working knowledge of various AWS services including, but not limited to EC2, EBS, RDS, S3, Glacier, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Cloudformation, Config, SES, SNS, SQS, IAM, VPC, Directory Service.
*Broad understanding of networks, security, end user computing back end infrastructure (Microsoft)
