IT Applications Developer (CRM and Billing)
Salary: up to £50,000
A market leading Infrastructure Services Organisation is searching for an IT Applications Developer to work on CRM and Billing systems. The main aim of this position is to work in a team to deliver business benefits through the interrogation of the system, application design and development. Ideal candidates will have the ability to design and implement software solutions for the CRM and Billing Area using Progress Open Edge.
*Development of corporate CRM and Billing applications in line with agreed business requirements and within budget.
*Queries raised via the Service Desk are managed and communicated in a timely manner meeting the agreed business requirements.
*Internal development opportunities are identified, analysed with the co-operation of the business and if justified presented for business approval.
*There is effective and efficient interaction between the user department and IT functions.
*Capital Projects are effectively contributed to and plans are adhered to when resource is formally allocated and approved.
Key skills and qualifications:
*A degree in Information Technology or equivalent or experience working in CRM or Billing environments from an IT perspective.
*Experience of IT concepts as this role has a mixed requirement of functional and technical knowledge.
*Ability to determine the most appropriate development tool or product for the task
*Consideration of security, performance and scalability
*Understanding of corporate desktop applications (MS Office, etc)
*Thorough understanding of applications and their interfaces to other business systems.
*Understanding of Information Technology and its effective application into the business.
