AWS - IT Infrastructure Specialist

Salary: up to £55,000
Location: Hatfield

A market leading Infrastructure Services Organisation is looking for and IT Infrastructure Specialist to maintain the AWS environment, health checks, cost optimisation, introduction of new services and ensuring that best practice is followed. Ideal candidates will have a technical background and qualifications in AWS, VMware, Storage Solutions and Cisco.

Key Responsibilities:
*Provide 2ndline support for the storage/server/network virtualisation environment as it migrates to an Amazon Web Services environment
*Participate in the change projects, from an operational perspective, plan and build operational capability for both the current and future environments
*Contribute your skills and expertise to resolve incidents, improve performance and availability, problem solve complex integration issues and implement automation for production and development
*Ensure the infrastructure is secure; manage data and systems availability, access control and service continuity to agreed standards that stand up to audit scrutiny.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
*AWS skills, particularly but not limited to VPC, EC2, IAM, RDS, Elastic Beanstalk, Cloud Watch, Cloud Formation, S3.
*Good understanding of Windows & Linux server administration. Knowledge of scripting for Windows and Linux platforms. VBScript, Powershell & Bash.
*A technical background with qualifications with AWS, VMware, storage solutions such as EMC, NetApp and Cisco virtual networks.
*Additional training will be provided for Amazon Web Services and cloud based systems integration, but we are very interested in candidates who have already begun this journey.
