We are looking for a Solution Architect to join their team to help lead the design of our ambitious solutions and technology landscape.
As a technical/solution architect you will provide the necessary leadership, facilitation, analysis and design tasks related to the development of technical artefacts and end point solutions that are aligned to architectural standards and support the delivery of their Technology programme portfolio.
It is expected that the majority of the SA's time will be project based (from inception to closure) and require close working with the business and across all domains of IT, such as PMO, Applications, Service Management and Development. This will involve leading the development of high-level and low-level solution designs across hardware and software.

*Design and oversee the technical implementation of new and modified Technical solutions that support business requirements and IT strategies and standards
*Document necessary technical architecture high and low-level design artefacts to PMO and architecture standards
*Support the specification, evaluation and selection of technical solutions.
*Follow PMO/Architecture governance processes and activities associated with ensuring good practice, compliance and quality outcomes.
*Understand, advocate and augment the principles of aligned business and IT - and more specifically champion "the enterprise architecture" process, its outcome and ongoing results within the technology team and across business teams.
Professional skills/experience required
*Exceptional collaboration and communication skills across technology teams and within the business
*Extensive experience as a Technical/Solutions Architect, capable of providing technical stewardship and driving successful initiatives to achieve desired goals
*Background in technical excellence, must have a strong technical understanding of AWS
*Comfortable owning the design process end to end
*Experience with middleware architecture. Experience of Oracle SOA desirable.
*Ability to take a pragmatic, risk based approach to IT solution design.
*Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations.
*Experience with large scale projects and programmes Ability to estimate the financial impact of technical architecture alternatives.
*Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies.
*Exposure to multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies and processing environments.
*Strong leadership, analytical and technical skills.
*Ability to estimate the financial impact of technical architecture alternatives.
