The JM Group continues to lead our market in the sourcing and selection of candidates for permanent roles. We are a preferred supplier to over 30 major organisations and are in the top 3 for many of these in terms of accuracy of selection and numbers placed. We aim to make best use of the limited time of both our clients and candidates.
We identify candidates through a range of different methods:
Database and The JM Group Community. We currently have well over 280 000 candidates on our database of which more than 25% are unique to us. Over 5 000 candidates subscribe to a daily email Job Push of our latest vacancies. This is driven by The JM Group Website Candidate Community which all our candidates are invited to join. This currently has well over 25 000 members either looking for vacancies or keeping their details on our database up to date via the web. We also utilise a ground breaking system called iProfile that ensures that over 65% our database has been updated in the past 12 months.
Active networking. Through our knowledge of our markets we can rapidly target the best sources of relevant candidates.
Web advertising and Search engines. We have an on-going investment programme in this rapidly changing medium. We also work with a partner and offer a full web consultancy service and we can help you make the best of your current web strategy.
Microsites. These can be used in support of press advertising and to support a range of volume recruitment projects. The jm group is experienced in building and designing appealing sites and also ensuring that good volumes of relevant traffic are directed towards them. Microsites have proved particularly useful for projects where technical specialists are sought as they welcome the opportunity to see more detail about the roles and the opportunities. If requested we can also link adverts on our website to a client brand which has proven to increase interest in those adverts.
Open Days. The JM Group was the pioneer of these events for the sourcing of IT talent and we continue to run these events for clients who need to recruit large numbers of technical individuals rapidly.
Technical Testing. The JM group has access to a wide variety of technical tests on current technologies such as Java, Oracle, VB, Access, C#, .Net to name but a few. We can assist our clients by running these tests on their behalf.
Retained Selection and Advertising. The JM Group has considerable experience of managing key appointments on behalf of our clients. Press advertising continues to be a good solution for multiple vacancies or key business facing roles. We have experience of preparing attractive copy and have preferential rates agreed with relevant media. Additionally we have strong project management skills so will agree key milestones at the outset and measure against these throughout the assignment. This is particularly important where multiple candidates are sought. All candidates will be interviewed against defined competencies and shortlists will be presented for each position.
Salary Surveys and Market Intelligence. The JM Group is frequently asked to provide this information for particular skills in certain sectors and we can produce tailored surveys as required by clients. Additionally we also publish quarterly The JM index which provides a benchmark of city IT salaries.
We aim to interview all candidates face to face and all our consultants are trained in competency based interview techniques which mirrors the approach of many of our clients. Candidates are only shortlisted to a client if they fulfil the requirements and are motivated by the opportunity. This is how we achieve such a high conversion rate at client interview.
